Interview de Marion et Elodie du Disini

Why did you choose Terraké?
Elodie : We chose Terraké because, above all, it meets the criteria that were essential to us when we decided to select a spa brand. First of all, it is a holistic brand that invites you on a journey through its four worlds: water, earth, air, and plants. Terraké is inspired by the birth of the world and nature. It also awakens the senses; it is a very sensory brand, and that is what we liked about it.

Marion : We have been working with Terraké since we, Hotel Disini, took over the spa directly in October 2020. Until then, there had always been a spa in the hotel, but it did not belong to the hotel and restaurant. To come back to what Elodie was saying, the brand was a perfect fit for the establishment because we are located in the Languedoc region, in Castries, 15 minutes from Montpellier. It is both close to the city but also very exotic because we are surrounded by a one-hectare park of holm oaks. The brand is therefore perfectly suited to this geographical location on the one hand, and on the other hand to what we were looking for and wanted to highlight and bring to life for our customers: nature, travel, and a change of scenery. 

What were you looking for in your SPA partner?
Marion : Our first criterion was that there should be no other spas of the same brand in the vicinity of our establishment. We were also looking for a high-end brand that offered affordable prices in order to best match the positioning of the Hotel & Restaurant, as we are a 4-star hotel, rather high-end but with prices that remain accessible. In short, we want to be open to everyone. 

Elodie : We wanted a holistic brand that was also innovative in its techniques, so that our customers could find promise not only in relaxation but also in the effectiveness of the treatments and products offered.  

What are the philosophy and characteristics of the institution? 
Marion : Le Disini is an independent hotel that does not belong to any hotel chain. It is a unique, atypical, and intimate hotel. Most of the rooms have bathrooms that open onto the bedroom, with a large 300-liter bathtub. The decor is Balinese-inspired, which makes the place very exotic. The restaurant offers bistronomic and gourmet cuisine with three main menus, including a seven-course menu. The spa covers 250 square meters and features a sauna, jacuzzi, hammam, gym, and three massage rooms. We have one duo massage room, with a second one opening in March. We are part of “the Original” community, and our guiding principle is that we want to be recognized as a place dedicated to calm, tranquility, and zen at the gates of Montpellier. 

Elodie : At the spa, our philosophy is all about personalization. We tailor our treatments to best meet all of our clients' needs. 

Marion : Whether at the spa, restaurant, or hotel, we personalize our services as much as possible to ensure that our guests' experience is as unique as possible. 

What feedback have you received from customers regarding the Terraké SPA experience? 
Elodie : Customers are delighted with their Terraké spa experience every time. We get a lot of feedback on facial treatments using radiofrequency devices, which are relatively unknown to most people. It's true that few brands work with radiofrequency, and with Terraké, customers are satisfied because they see results as soon as the treatment is over. When it comes to body treatments, our customers really like the double exfoliation performed during the scrub, particularly with the Terraké detoxifying brush. 

Can you introduce yourself and tell us about your background?
Marion : I am 27 years old and have studied a variety of subjects, including accounting, marketing, and communications. I started out in internal communications at SNCF, then joined Disini, a family business run by my parents, in January 2022. I am now part of Disini's senior management team and am something of a jack-of-all-trades for the company. 

Elodie : I joined Disini in July 2022 as SPA Manager. I am 32 years old and have a BTS (advanced vocational training certificate) in beauty therapy and a CQP (certificate of professional qualification) in spa therapy. I began my professional career at Club Med, where I worked for three years. It was a very rewarding experience as I had the opportunity to work with several brands. I then worked at the Fontcaude spa for two years as assistant spa manager, before moving on to a new career opportunity in Nîmes at the Hôtel L'Impérator, part of the Maisons Albar group, where I stayed for two years before joining Disini. I have worked with Carita, Payot, Cinq Mondes, Sothys, Skin Ceuticals, Codage, and now Terraké.  

A final word?
Marion : I would like to thank and highlight the support provided by Terraké and its CEO Laurent, both for the hotel and the spa. Terraké has always been there to support us and help us boost sales and other areas during slow periods.
