Interview with Romain Gravelle for TERRAKÉ

Interview with Romain Gravelle for TERRAKÉ

In this interview, Romain Gravelle, Operations Manager at the Hôtel Belmont****, talks about his career, the philosophy behind the hotel, and why they chose to work with TERRAKÉ.

Could you please introduce yourself first?

My name is Romain Gravelle, and I am the Operations Manager at the Belmont Paris hotel. I joined Walid Temimi ten years ago when Walid launched his comprehensive renovation program for the hotel to reposition it as a 4-star establishment. I brought my experience in 4- and 5-star hotels to the table.

What were you looking for in your new partner?

We are a family-run hotel, so we were looking for a brand that shares these values, and above all a French brand that promotes the French art of living.

How did TERRAKÉ meet these expectations?

What attracted us to TERRAKÉ is that TERRAKÉ is synonymous with French-style well-being. Le Belmont Paris, located in a Haussmann-style building made of cut stone and featuring classic décor, is a romantic hotel that immerses its guests in 19th-century Paris. Our partnership combines the classic and the modern.

TERRAKÉ offers treatments (protocols and products) based on naturalness, innovation, and sensoriality, so I think it effectively meets the various expectations that customers may have. Detoxifying, purifying, draining, soothing, muscle relaxation—these are all customer concerns that TERRAKÉ can address. Whether they are tired from their journey or simply want to pamper themselves, they can take advantage of their stay at the hotel to do so.

You recently renovated your spa. Can you tell us a little more about it?

With this new partnership, and as our spa was almost 10 years old, we took the opportunity to completely renovate it. In particular, we changed the colors to match TERRAKÉ's brand guidelines in order to offer a consistent customer experience. We also renovated our hammam, using white marble with touches of black and gray for a very mineral look, with hexagonal shapes reminiscent of the TERRAKÉ logo. We also created a sauna to offer our customers a more complete range of services.

Can you tell us more about the philosophy of this institution and your guidelines?

As I mentioned earlier, we are a family-run hotel, and I am fortunate to be working with the third generation of the Temimi family, who have owned Le Belmont Paris since 1972.

For 10 years, we have strived to keep our product as beautiful as ever and to meet the expectations of our customers. The renovation of the spa allowed us to create a sauna in addition to the complete renovation of our hammam. We also changed all the windows two years ago. Our bedding is high-end 5-star bedding. We are constantly investing.

The well-being of our guests is our priority.
